1853 First Pattern Enfield (736 A)
The First Pattern Enfield used screw clamping bands, the rear sight has rounded sides, a button head very thin ramrod, the stock also has a very narrow groove for the ramrod and the hammer has a very pronounced curl. Locks are dated 1854 to 1855. The rear sight has rounded swelled sides.
