William III Musket (704)

During the reign of William III (1689-1702) the British ordnance system was trying to change over to flintlocks. This is one of the earliest muskets with a round face lock (Doglock Muskets were still being manufactured as late as 1715). It has a 46" octagon to round barrel, available in .77 caliber. The lock plate measures 6 13/16" x 13/16". The throw of the cock is 1 7/8".
