This is the earlier "Queen Anne" style which is believed to have started a little earlier than boxlocks. Some of these were very ornate with silver mounts and some were plain. The one we reproduced has a fancy butt cap, thumbpiece, and side plate, but they can be left off if desired and still be correct. They even made some very nice light hunting and target rifles with these actions. The throw of the cock is 2".

We do not sell any original pieces on this web site only reproduction's of the original parts we have copied. If the item description does not say assembled then you are buying the castings of that particular item.
